Terms of Service

1. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities under your account. Use a strong password and don't share it.

2. Your Content

You retain ownership of all stories, photos, and biographies you create. By using DeerLight, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service. We do not publish, sell, or redistribute your content.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Impersonate another person
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Abuse the AI or API endpoints (spam, automated scraping)
• Reverse engineer or attempt to exploit the service

4. AI-Generated Content

Biographies and chat responses are generated by Claude (an AI model by Anthropic). AI output may contain inaccuracies. We do not guarantee factual correctness. Review generated biographies before sharing them.

5. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice where possible.

6. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We're not liable for data loss, missed emails, or AI inaccuracies. Keep your own backup of anything precious.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced via email or in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
